This deck was built for ritual — literally. The Golden Dawn Magical Tarot by Chic Cicero and Sandra Tabatha Cicero was created at the direct request of Israel Regardie, the renowned occultist and key figure of the modern Golden Dawn movement, to serve as a working tool for Golden Dawn ceremonies. It is the first tarot deck ever designed specifically for ceremonial use.
Every card incorporates the temple symbolism, Cabalistic structure, zodiacal correspondences, and alchemical imagery required for use in actual Golden Dawn rituals. The 240-page companion book covers the full system — Cabalistic, zodiacal, and alchemical — in the depth that serious study demands. This is not a deck you pick up casually. It's one you grow into.
At 79 cards (one more than the standard 78), it carries its own structural logic that rewards careful study.
